About Colony Cats Adoption Center
Colony Cats is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose primary mission is to address cat overpopulation in central Ohio through public awareness and spay/neuter efforts. Since 2002, our organization has facilitated spay/neuter of nearly 19,000 cats and dogs, and placed more than 15,000 pets in homes.
We have a cage-free cat adoption center and a network of foster homes for friendly, adoptable cats and kittens (as well as dogs/puppies we encounter while assisting cats) that have been rescued. We are also in partnership with area pet supply stores that help us by showcasing our adoptable cats at offsite locations throughout central Ohio.

We adopted Meatball from here almost 10 years ago. Back then, her name was Layla. She passed away yesterday, and our hearts are broken, but we also feel incredibly grateful. Because of this rescue, we were able to spend nearly a decade with the sweetest cat. She gave us so much love, comfort, and happiness, and she became such an important part of our family. Thank you for saving her and giving us the chance to love her. Meatball had a beautiful life with us, and we will always be grateful.

Colony Cats is amazing. I have nothing but great things to say about them. They are straightforward and easy to talk to about the adoption process. I adopted my sweet Sonny from here. They answered any questions I had and are extremely knowledgeable. When he got sick they even helped me out with medications and a check-up. Thank you Colony Cats for everything youβve done for me and my boy! ππ¦

We had such a wonderful experience with Colony Cats Adoption Center. The staff and volunteers are kind, knowledgeable, and truly care about every cat in their care. The facility is clean, organized, and itβs obvious the cats are well-loved and well-socialized. We originally adopted our cat Aspen (now Milo), and the process was smooth, thoughtful, and never rushed. They took the time to make sure he was a good fit for our home and patiently answered all of our questions. Milo has been an absolute joy, and itβs clear he received excellent care before adoption. Because of that great experience, we recently adopted another cat Colby (Tuddy now) from them as well, and once again the experience was just as positive. They showed the same level of care and dedication in helping us find the right match, and weβre already so in love with our new addition. Weβre incredibly grateful to Colony Cats for bringing both of our cats into our lives. If youβre looking to adopt and want to support a compassionate, dedicated rescue, we highly recommend them!

I adopted a 6 month old cat from Colony Cats and overall had a pretty positive experience, but I also have some minor points of issue. Lots of people complaining here about a smell β thereβs dozens of cats in a small space, with plenty of litter boxes β of course there is going to be a smell. Honestly if you canβt handle the minor odor of cats, you probably shouldnβt be adopting in the first place. When I had selected the cat I wanted, I was helped by an amazing volunteer (Pam), who answered my questions and helped sort out some cat confusion when we couldnβt find our cat. The other volunteers I interacted with were also friendly. However, there were several times when I asked a floor volunteer for more information about a specific cat and they were only able to provide basic info like intake date, age, etc., when I really wanted to know more about their habits and personality. I already had a cat at home, so it was important for me to find one who was higher energy and socialized well. It would be helpful if the volunteers were able to edit and add to their database with notes about each catβs personality. I understand this isnβt always easy or feasible with the massive intake a
